The Finance Club of the School of Management Studies organized a talk on “Power of Equity Investments” by Mr. Joshy John, Senior Vice President, Choice International Ltd., South Zone, on 14th November 2025. The session aimed to introduce MBA students to the fundamentals and strategic importance of equity investing in modern financial markets. Mr. Joshy John explained how informed investment decisions can create long-term wealth and highlighted the role of research, risk assessment, and market discipline. Students gained practical insights into equity trends, portfolio building, and opportunities in the Indian capital market. The session also motivated students to explore demat account opening and hands-on market participation. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Susan, Finance Club Coordinator.



The Placement Cell of the School of Management Studies, Union Christian College, Aluva organized a Placement Drive in collaboration with Keshvin Autocraft Private Limited (Hyundai) More than 70 students from the MBA and UG programe actively participated in the drive.
The event was well coordinated by Placement Officer Ms. Sheethal, along with Mr. Ashay K and Ms. Chinnu Marry John. The drive provided an excellent opportunity for students to interact with recruiters and explore potential career opportunities.

A Communicative English Training and Activities Session was conducted by Ms. Mariyam Anna Varghese, Assistant Professor, Department of English, St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery. The session aimed to enhance the students’ English communication skills through interactive activities and practical learning methods. During the training, students participated in group discussions, role plays, and language games designed to improve fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and overall confidence in using English in academic and professional contexts. The engaging and activity-based approach helped students to overcome language barriers and develop a positive attitude toward effective communication.



A Toastmasters training session was conducted for the Semester 1 MBA students on 7th November 2025 in the morning. The session lasted for one hour and was facilitated by representatives from the Toastmasters Club. The training aimed to introduce students to the principles of effective public speaking, leadership communication, and confidence-building. Through interactive activities, demonstrations, and practical tips, students gained valuable insights into structuring speeches, managing stage presence, and enhancing their communication style. The session also highlighted the importance of continuous self-improvement and constructive feedback in developing professional communication skills







Our students enthusiastically participated in the Dhanam Summit 2025, a premier business and entrepreneurship conference organized by Dhanam Business Magazine. The event brought together leading entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts who shared valuable insights on innovation, leadership, and emerging trends in the economy. By attending keynote sessions and panel discussions, students gained firsthand exposure to real-world business strategies and success stories.
The main objectives of participating in the summit were to provide students with practical exposure to the current business environment, inspire entrepreneurial thinking, and enhance their understanding of industry practices. It also aimed to develop essential professional skills such as communication, leadership, and networking, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and the dynamic demands of the business world.

Aptitude Training Session for S3 MBA Students Conducted by Pragmatrix Learning Edutech Pvt. Ltd., Kochi
The primary objective of the aptitude training session is to enhance the analytical, quantitative, logical reasoning, and verbal ability skills of MBA students, preparing them for competitive placement processes and management aptitude tests. The session aims to develop problem-solving capabilities, improve time management during examinations, and build confidence to perform effectively in campus recruitment drives, entrance exams, and other professional assessments. It also helps students identify their strengths and areas for improvement, fostering a strategic and analytical mindset essential for managerial decision-making.






This session focuses on understanding the importance of having a clear goal in life. Participants will engage in a practical exercise to define their personal or professional goals using the SMART Goal Setting framework.
The first part of the session, led by Ratheesh R Nath, will cover the concept of goal setting and guide participants through the process of crafting their own SMART goals.
In the concluding part, Sreedevi will lead a manifestation practice designed to help participants internalize and subconsciously align with their goals turning intent into powerful action.
